The first 5-10 matches you play in this mode would serve as placement matches to put you in a rank. This queue would prioritize matching players of similar skill level/ELO. (Not exactly new, this is just basically the current matchmaking we have, but I thought I'd put it here anyways to more easily specify the differences ranked would have). MMR would also be a factor, but not the top priority. If this isn't possible, host migration would be a decent alternative.Ī quick queue where region is prioritized in matchmaking, to find matches as quickly as possible. This will improve online overall, and fix a majority of the issues which have been in it. The biggest things which should be addressed should be better overall optimization (to reduce load times) and better online, not just in the sense of dedicated servers (although that would be something very desired), but more options overall.
